Welcome to Lea Valley Branch

WE HAVE SOME LOVELY NEW KITTENS IN WHO NEED HOMES.  TO FIND OUT MORE GO TO OUR 'HOME A CAT' OR 'NEWS' PAGES.

IF YOU WANT TO HOME A KITTEN, PLEASE RING OUR ADOPTION LINE ON 07540 182 427.

Our branch is staffed entirely by volunteers and covers the following postcodes: E4, EN1, EN2, EN3, EN6, EN7, EN8, EN9, N9, N18 and N21.  (NOTE THAT postcodes AL6 to AL10 are now covered by the new Welwyn & Hatfield District Branch - find their contact details on the Contact Us page.)  Within this very large area, we support the national charity’s simple and clear objectives to help cats:
• Adopting – to find good homes for cats in need.
• Neutering – to support and encourage the neutering of cats.
• Informing – to improve people’s understanding of cats and their care through education and advice.

To do this, we operate the following phone lines that are manned by volunteers, so please understand if we are not able to answer every call in person.  However, if you leave a message, we will respond in due course.

Adoption Line: 07540 182 427
Please call this number if you are interested in providing a home to any one or more of our cats or kittens in care.  Details of cats to be homed are to be found in the Home A Cat pages of this website.

Neutering Line: 07827 622 599
Please call this number if you require information on spaying or neutering your cat.  For those in need, we can provide assistance in the form of money-off vouchers towards the veterinary cost of neutering.

Local Enquiry Line: 0845 371 2740
Please call this number if you require information, help or are concerned about the condition of a cat in your area.  We will endeavour to do whatever we can to help.

EMERGENCIES: Please note that we are NOT staffed or equipped to handle emergency situations.  If you know about an animal that is injured or being treated cruelly, call the RSPCA's national 24-hour cruelty and advice line on 0300 1234 999 or visit http://www.rspca.org.uk

In addition, local authorities provide animal welfare services.  For example, Enfield Council’s Animal Welfare Officer is Sandra Carter who can be contacted on 020 8379 3695 or sandra.carter@enfield.gov.uk

Free Veterinary Care: Please note that we are NOT able to offer free veterinary care.  The PDSA offers veterinary treatment free to those on certain benefits.  To be eligible, pet owners need to live within the defined catchment area of a PDSA PetAid hospital or PetAid practice and must be receiving financial help with their housing costs through either Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit.  The nearest PDSA PetAid hospital is at:

ChrissieCan you give Chrissie a home?

Hi everyone, my name is Chrissie; I came into the care of Cats Protection when I was pregnant. I was very lucky they got me in in time because as soon as I came in my four kittens popped out! I was very relieved about that I can tell you! It was great being able to have food, water and all the loving care given to me. I was so scared I was going to have them on the streets.
Read more about Chrissie and more cats looking for new homes.
